Ripley Methodist Church as been redeveloped on our in Wood Street, Ripley work started on the 20th April 2009 and was completed Dec 2009
The project is the result of over 10 years of planning and consultation both with our current members and community users and new potential users The new two-story building incorporates a multifunctional worship/community hall, including a staged area, modern kitchen facilities and several meeting rooms. The need to redevelop arouse due to the age of the building and the desire to improve the facilities for all that use it The total cost of the project will be approximately £569000, with the church itself having to date raised £200,000. A further £310000, including £25000 from WREN, (landfill tax credit) has been secured. We have also applied for further grants and currently need to raise locally £65,000 to cover loans .
