Ripley Methodist Church will be redeveloping on their current site in Wood Street, Ripley, Early 2008 ( Planing permission as been received ) .
The project is the result of over 10 years of planning and consultation both with our current members and community users and new potential users
The new two-storey building will incorporate a multi-functional worship/community hall, including a staged area, modern kitchen facilities on both levels and several meeting rooms.
The need to redevelop has arisen due to the age of the building and the desire to improve the facilities for all that use it
The total cost of the project will be approximately £539,000, with the church itself having to date raised £135000. A further £255,000, including £25000 from WREN, (landfill tax credit) has been secured. We have also applied for further grants and currently need to raise locally £103,000.
